Sealed travertine pool coping in Perth

MineralProtect · by JUMBOGUARD

They told you not to seal it. Now you can.

Stonemasons warn against sealing natural stone, because until now, every sealer changed it: residue, a shift in colour, moisture trapped underneath. MineralProtect doesn't. It's water-based and breathable, and it protects your stone without changing a thing, from the driveway to the benchtop.

The problem

What Perth does to stone.

Natural stone is expensive, and once it's stained or salt-etched it's effectively irreplaceable: a new piece won't match the weathered rest. Near the coast and under Perth's sun, unsealed stone draws in salt and spills that leave marks you can't scrub back out. The catch: the sealers meant to protect it have their own way of ruining it.

Salt air

Coastal salt draws into porous stone and paver joints.

Sun & fading

UV dulls the natural colour of exposed stone over time.

Staining

Food, leaves, dirt and spills settle into open pores.

Grime & mould

Organic build-up collects in shaded, damp areas.

Why they say don't seal

Three ways to seal stone. Two of them wreck it.

There's a reason stone suppliers tell you not to seal. Until now, your only options both damaged the very thing you were trying to protect.

Acrylic sealers

A film laid on top. It peels, yellows and clouds, seals moisture in, and has to be stripped and redone. On premium stone, it's a no-go.

Impregnating sealers

They wick in by capillary action and leave residue behind, darkening or shifting the colour, building up over time, and eventually working against the stone.

MineralProtect

The third way. Water-based and breathable, it bonds at the surface with no film and no residue. No colour change, no build-up. It protects the stone and lets it breathe.

Step one

First, we prepare it properly.

A full professional clean lifts salt residue, grime and organic staining from the stone and its joints, so the seal bonds to a clean, sound surface. The clean is included. It's preparation, not a separate service.

Step two

Then the seal changes how it behaves.

  • Repels water. Water beads and sheets off instead of soaking into the stone.
  • Resists staining. Spills and grime sit on the surface and wash off more easily.
  • Sheds dirt. Build-up is slower, so the paving is easier to maintain between cleans.
  • Colourless, changes nothing. MineralProtect is water-based and non-pigmenting: it doesn't darken, shift or coat the stone. The colour you chose stays exactly as it is.

The technology

Sealed with MineralProtect.

A water-based mineral sealer that bonds at the surface of stone and pavers rather than sitting on top as a film or wicking in as a residue. Breathable, colourless, applied by certified applicators to a JUMBOGUARD standard, and registered under your guarantee.

Why sealing works

Every stone, inside and out

From the driveway to the benchtop.

Because it changes nothing and lets the stone breathe, MineralProtect is safe on the stone others won't touch: the pieces you can't replace.

Feature & luxury stone

Onyx, marble and handcrafted feature stone, sealed without altering the colour or finish you paid for.

Benchtops & vanities

Kitchen and bathroom stone that meets water, oil and acids daily, protected and easier to keep clean.

Vertical stone & cladding

Feature walls, cladding and pool surrounds. Indoor or out, the seal is invisible.

The seal, working

The proof is on the surface.

Drag to compare: MineralProtect-sealed stone, dry and wet. Water beads and rolls off instead of soaking in. That's the seal doing its job. The colour doesn't change, only how the surface behaves.
