This website is operated by JUMBOGUARD Pty Limited (ABN 26 680 420 900), trading as Extera (“Extera”, “we”, “us”, “our”) — a sealing services business based in Perth, Western Australia. Extera is JUMBOGUARD’s Certified Applicator. This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through this website (extera.com.au) and in the course of providing quotes and sealing services.

We are committed to handling your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

2. The personal information we collect

We only collect information we genuinely need to quote for, provide and stand behind our work. This may include:

• Contact details you give us — your name, phone number and email address.
• Job details — your suburb, the approximate area to be sealed, the surfaces involved, and anything else you tell us about your enquiry.
• Enquiry and communication records — the messages you send us and our correspondence with you by phone, email or SMS.
• Website and device information — collected automatically when you visit, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, and how you arrived at our site (including referral source and any marketing campaign identifiers such as UTM tags, Google click IDs and Facebook click IDs).

You don’t have to give us your personal information, and you may deal with us anonymously or under a pseudonym where it’s lawful and practical. But if you don’t provide your name and contact details, we generally can’t prepare a quote or arrange a service for you.

3. How we collect it

We collect personal information directly from you when you complete a quote or contact form on this website, call or message us, or email us. We also collect some information automatically through cookies and similar technologies when you use the site (see section 5).

4. Why we collect and use it

We use your personal information to:

• respond to your enquiry, prepare quotes and schedule work;
• provide our sealing services and administer the JUMBOGUARD Performance Guarantee registered to your job;
• communicate with you about your enquiry, booking, service and any follow-up or re-treatment reminders;
• operate, maintain, secure and improve our website;
• with your consent or where otherwise permitted, send you marketing about our services; and
• meet our legal and record-keeping obligations.

5. Cookies, analytics and advertising

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to make the site work, understand how it’s used, and measure our advertising. These include:

• Google Analytics — to understand how visitors use our site so we can improve it. Google may set cookies and process this data on our behalf.
• Meta (Facebook) Pixel and Conversions API — to measure the performance of our advertising on Facebook and Instagram and to show relevant ads. This may involve sharing limited information (such as a hashed email or phone number, your IP address and events like submitting a quote request) with Meta.

Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies through their settings. Blocking cookies may affect how parts of the site work. You can also opt out of certain advertising and analytics through the settings offered by Google and Meta.

6. Who we share it with

We don’t sell your personal information. We share it only where needed to run our business and deliver your service, including with:

• Service providers that host our website and store our customer records, run our forms and communications, provide analytics, and deliver our advertising — for example our website host, our customer relationship management (CRM) system, Google and Meta.
• JUMBOGUARD, as the issuer of the Performance Guarantee, to register and administer the guarantee for your job.
• Professional advisers, insurers or authorities where we’re required or permitted by law.

7. Overseas disclosure

Some of the providers we use store or process data on servers outside Australia, including in the United States. Where we disclose your information to an overseas recipient, we take reasonable steps to ensure it’s handled consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.

8. Direct marketing

We may send you information about our services where you’d reasonably expect it or you’ve consented. Every marketing message includes a way to opt out, and you can ask us to stop at any time by contacting us using the details below. We don’t use sensitive information for direct marketing.

9. How we keep it secure

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work with reputable providers and limit access to your information to those who need it.

10. How long we keep it

We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy, including to service and honour your guarantee and to meet our legal obligations. When it’s no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it.

11. Accessing and correcting your information

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it’s inaccurate, out of date or incomplete. Contact us using the details below and we’ll respond within a reasonable time. There’s normally no charge to make a request, though we may recover reasonable costs for providing access in some cases.

If you have a concern about how we’ve handled your personal information, please contact us first so we can try to put it right. If you’re not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
